ill be doing this conversion soon but have to keep the standard fuel system, the xe i have now needs 5 wires connected to fire up,
ive got a feeling this will need more, anyone done this before?

Not done this but i suspect you will need the ecu, the matching key, ignition barrel to overcome the immobiliser etc you may even need the dash etc. If you do this get a complete car then you will have the loom etc and all those niggly bits that will cost a fortune once you have realised you need them. Another way is keep the hardware i.e. sensors plenum etc and integrate this to an after market ecu i am sure some specialist must have a Plug and play solution to this by now. which will probally plug in to the loom and be mapped pretty close.
search yukspeed and ask him.
track fiesta on all the right bits.....
i've heard most people run them on the standard ecu and wiring loom as they found that was basically the best map for it and the easiest as most aftermarket ecu's don't like the Japanese sensors.

its not dead till it's buried!
T.I.T engineering. "Feel the power!"
Ive decided to stick with the xe for now, its a simpler option and just want to get the escort back on the road asap
You need the key and it's sensor - you dont need the dash. Mines running (albeit with other issues).
