Worn cylinder wall - 2.8 Cologne
Hi,
I have reconditioned the engine block, but one thing did not turn out well.
This is the wall of a cylinder which has a small rust channel where the top ring must reach.
What should I do, considering that I've worked a lot on this engine block?

best regards,
Radu Anghel

Re: Worn cylinder wall - 2.8 Cologne
I took your advice and with a Draper glaze breaker CYLINDER (first with a 180 stone and after that with a 280 stone) I've managed to take from 3.7 to 37027 and this way I was able to remove the rust channel completely.
Consider that I have Accralite forged pistons there should be no problem with the piston to cylinder wall clearance.
I will attach some pictures later with the finished cylinder.
