50mm throttle bodies on 240 - 250bhp dura
Would 50mm throttle bodies be considered too big for a 2.3 duratec pushing 240-250 bhp?
The 50mm jenveys im looking at are designed for the 2.5 head, could i safely port match opening up the inlet / gasket face?

i can only sort of answer that, 50mm is way bigger than you need for 240-250bhp, you can do that much power on 42mm bodies.
i would of thought the head will take porting to match the 50's.
you may not even notice a down side having bodies too big, all that happens is at part throttles a small difference in throttle makes a fairly big jump in power, and the oppose happens when your near WOT

To be honest there up for £780 on facebook and i can get a set of 45s off raceline for less, so i reckon ill leave them.
If i bought a set for the smaller 2.3 inlets i wouldn't need to bugger about opening them up either

I'd wait for a set of 45mm bodies to come up, quite a few sets where for sale over Christmas on eBay.
I can't see you being able to get anywhere near the 2.5 port size without comprising wall thickness
