My scrap 2.0 duratec head donated itself to research, some may find these pics useful.
Not a lot of material around the inlet and exhaust ports

I personally can't see what all this obsession is about with people wanting to port Duratec Heads. As I have said before I once read an article from a Mountune employee that did their head work and he said that a std head had good enough air flow to produce 260bhp. He said material taken out of the wrong places and the head lost power. A slight lick just around the valve throat was all that was needed.
2.5 Duratec inlet ports are way too large and need sleeving down to increase air speed.
thats pretty much what dave walker said to me, he said the heads that good could port a head with his eyes shut and it would make 260bhp on fast road cams, because it literally only needed a tickle around the valve seats.
IIRC duratec heads flow something like 170cfm, thats seriously modified XE territory, and about 50% more than the best pintos
I wonder what level of porting is done when the 2L head it put on a 2.4 bottom end to give 327HP? Sounds like not a great deal?
