I reckon it'll give it a more aggressive look - personally i'm all for that - it'll still look like a sleeper with just a little more edge!

It's a bit different now to when you looked at it mate ( no engine/interior/wiring/std legs/bumpers/std axle etc...
taken me 2 years and a shed load of dough to get it to how it is now, virtually everything is new .

    Re: My MK2 "Sleeper"

    Here's under the bonnet.

The car had a wiring fire before I bought it, just after it had been re sprayed.
The bonnet, engine compartment and the tops of the wings were then painted blue as an exact paint match was impossible. (I agree, as I can't get the right colour white for the areas I've been touching up).
So, having had the bulkhead gussets and engine mounts installed and primered when building the car, it looks a bit nasty under the bonnet.

Dilema I'm in now is I've currently got the gearbox off as the clutch plate has worn out (it's "Waffer thin") as I type I'm waiting for my new "Kevlar" plate to arrive.
To take the engine out now is probably half an hours work, I could then get under the bonnet painted. But, there are a couple of scabby bits on the paint that could do with doing, as these are letting the car down overall.
I've never been one for bling shiny bodywork, my preference is mechanical perfection, if it looks a bit rough I could live with it.
But having spent some serious money building the car, the underbonnet area is spoiling the overall car.
So, do I put new clutch in, and carry on driving it for a bit, or go for a complete respray?( probably around £1500?)

    Hmmmmmm.

Anyway, here's the vauxhall cuckoo, and a few more pics of the car

Looks and sounds the nuts, I like it without the spoiler but that's not saying a spoiler will spoil it
