More door Mk2 Escort from Portugal

    Hello friends,

Been off for some years and never got round to update this...so now that it's the Escort turn (Bimmer is done for now), here goes a quick brief and update this with new dvelopments.

It was about 6 years ago that i got this beauty. It belongged to the grand father of a friend of mine and instead ending in the scrapyard...i saved it for a long term project.
    How it began

Then life took me to UK for a 2 year experience where I've lived and worked in the North London area. I manage to get some parts for the Escort and some time later...the first track experience with the Laser wheels already but everything else full stock.

A couple years later, back to Portugal for good, and the meeting with the 2 brothers

Then it got some 7J "minilite" wheels and off to some Ford meetings.

Now, the e30 is finnished...it's time to restore the Escort.
At the moment i'm disassembling it slowly...

and...for the great reveal...I'm using as guidance, a car that is here in this forum.

I loved it from the first time I've seen it.
Since it's a more door, I don't want any "sporty" rally looks. I prefer a clean sleeper when it's finnished

    Here it is.

I hope the owner can see this and eventually give some help

All set for the body and paint to be done early March.
Hope to get some tips from the experts here.

    Regards

How weird is this - this thread photos are not showing unless opened separately but alternative 'hello' thread, pictures show without intervention. Weird!

I wanted to edit it and attach pictures again as text was copied from other thread on "introduction" but seemed more suited to be here instead...but can't find the "edit" thread option...

wow this was getting scrapped? great that you came before, this looks too good of a car to be destroyed...
as for the editing I had the same problem, I guess you can't edit your replys once you post them..use the "uploader" option for the pictures and copy what you get to your replys....I needed some help too with that heres a link that should help http://www.turbosport.co.uk/showthre...oading+picture

You can edit a thread, but you literally only get about 10 minutes after you 1st posted the thread to edit it. So if you don't do it quickly you've had it.
