thanks for the reply Rallyrob and yes i bought one off ebay.
it's now on the shelf in my garage with all the other aftermarket
and reproduction parts that don't fit properly.

should have added "must be o.e part" and still looking

What doesn't fit about it, has it got the wrong end union threads on it or something then?

I can only think it must be the fitting on the oil pipe to the gauge on the dash that's wrong. From memory there's a taper on the end of the union that comes out of the oil gauge on the std RS clocks, aftermarket gauges are a different fitting.

I can't remember if my Twin cam mk1 clocks had a taper or a step type fitting on the gauge end.

The gauge attachment has a conical taper - not very clear i'm afraid - pretty common in oil fittings, just like oil and hydraulic fittings.

Its probably the brass type adaptor that's needed to make the OP's aftermarket oil pipe fit the back of the clocks, as we haven't heard from him for a while we may never know.

I’ve just took my Rs clock out of the rs2000 and put a stack dash ,so I have a spare one if your interested
