.....the filters come in other sizes, and are still made today, but are made of billet ( photo from their catalogue...looks a little different from mine),look too modern, and cost a fortune.Mine is a 600 model......has a 6'' screen, and is good for any motor up to 400 cu ins.......(6000 cc).......they make a 400 model (4'' screen..can you see where I'am going)....for fuel......an 800 and 900 for motors that run on alcahol, methenol or nitro,or diesel motors.I know guys who have run these and had a heart attack when taken apart to clean......you won't believe the debris floating around your motor that paper filters miss.Oh the 'tattle tales' are made by Oberg....

Gareth.....thanks for the advice.....will give you a call a little closer to that day (when ever that is) ...I do not have the room to use a bigger hose, but Obergs are wild....these things flow 20GPM...have less pressure loss than paper filters, and will increase oil pressure quite a bit,so feed size is not so critical.....

Re: Duratec powered vintage Sprint car

Where can I buy these from bud as mine suffers oil pressure at tic over and very hi revs.

I've got a hydrolic oil pressure gauge fitted that reads 50PSI on tic over and gos up to 90+ when you rev it.

But the pressure warning light comes on once the cars warmed up on tic over one thing that Biggs me with the car along with the leaking gearbox

Trig.......obergfilters.com........the 600 is $199...so figure on £199 with exchange, customs and tax.....but there is one on the bay at the moment for £92 plus postage.... plus customs duty when it gets home.....

.....seems like an age since I ordered the 3 1/2'' stainless tube and bends, but managed to get the first mock up sorted today. The cone has to be cut for the transition joint, and a rear mount fabricated to hold the system up....this will be spring mounted to allow some movement.I think it looks good,be glad when its all done............

cor , i have a right soft spot for the cummings diesel, something about a powerfull diesel lump just does it for me

quite like the rose jointed exhaust hanger, as long as the heat from the exhaust of a petrol engine doesn't effect the rose joint to much and make it seize

.....just about to weld up my exhaust, and weld in the bung for my sensor.....now I know that this should be placed after the last port on the collector, but is there any problems in me mounting this in a place that hides it out of view?.....(about 3 0'clock.....on the inside of the collector )

As long as you don't mount it angled downwards it should be fine

No different to a cossie Bailey turbo hanger so it will be fine

.....been slow to burn over the last few weeks and not much work done on the Sprint. The Vette needed some new rear springs, and these were ordered and arrived with lots of new bits to install them......so I have been busy detail painting them and getting them in......

...got a drawing of the heat shield, and mounts can now be made....the shield laser cut and formed, and rear mount finally sorted.....

....thank you all for your support this past year, have a great holiday, and see you all next year....

.....well its cold and wet,and not the type of weather to spend a great deal of time in the garage. I'am a little depressed as I've just sold my gopher for the last 9 years...my little Audi TT with 19032 miles on it....so down to the wifes A1.It was suggested I get a model to try out colours before my Sprint was painted.....this is it...(or at least for the moment)....Audi Amulet Red....Think I've had a result on the front brakes....my friend is in the States as we speak, securing them and getting them back home for me,I hope.(been waiting 3 years for the 'right' ones)...apart from the fuel system, thats all the hard parts sourced.....so need to pull my finger out and start putting this thing together.
