Question Help needed with my twin choke webbers on my Ford V6 essex in the Stag

    Hi.
I have tried loads, if I go along the car is ok-ish ! When you come to stop, at lights, etc then pull away the car dies for a second or two, you have to rev more and it smokes slightly and goes, any ideas?

Someone from http://www.fastroadcars.co.uk/ just gave me some advice, that part seems ok now, just cut the pipe and blanked it off for the anti stall device, workd great. Just have the 'hunting' ? now when I do constant speeds, worse at 30mph!

I thought bigger jets puts more fuel in and makes it richer?

They would, just check the carb isn't sucking air via worn throttle spindle or base gasket, bigger jets could possibly mask the problem. What settings are the idle mixture screws before and after?

I have a new base gasket and while the engine was running I just spayed wd40 then carb cleaner around the body and the engine didn't change a note at all, not sure how to test it properly? The idle screws are about 3 turns out. Before I have no idea.

Check the power valve screw ,also check accelerator pump diaphragm along with accelerator pump jet.
    I take it is a 38 DGAS

when you pull away after stopping at lights ? thats usually a sign of worn guide seals too.
