    Hole in exhaust port

    Hi All

    preparing my 1600 crossflow head for new head gasket, cleaning it down etc and have found a hole broken through to the chamber for the head bolt, in the exhaust port
    is this a problem
    can I continue to use this head or is it now scrap

    advice welcomed

    its not a problem, just use it

    quite common when you make the exhaust ports quite large

    Did you "find" it? Or did you make it? Hehe, I wouldn't know if it was an issue, but sure looks like it's from the grinding work.

    Hi. Yeah found it. Looks like previous owner has had a good go at grinding it down and not done such a pretty job. Thankfully it will be ok
