World Cup Cross Member Steering Rack Fixing Centre’s?

    Hi,

So small problem I have a World Cup cross member and an aftermarket (motorsport tools) quick rack. Motorsport tools are saying the rack is made with fixing centres 260mm but my cross member fixing centres are 254mm ( maybe that’s 10”? ).
My question is why are the centres on your escort?
I can’t get my rack to fit as the bush don’t seat correctly on the cross member. What size is correct? Any help would be very welcome :-).

    Cheers,

    Lewis

Been here and got every Tee shirt, I have had a Gp4 Fab crossmember (rack did not fit) same measurements as you have, then i got a Rix one same issue. I measured a rally design one they were the same and while i was at RACE in Stoke i measured one of theirs the same, the mount are 5mm out. you can get the rack in fine without the bushes but with not a chance.

Showed motorsport tools the problem, they said never had it before ! yea right, but to give them their due they went and got a rack and a crossmember found that the red bushes were a little chubby and would not fit, They recommended part number MST1520 which did fit a little better, but the brackets are in the wrong place no ifs buts or maybe.

The original rubber bushes are compliant enough to overcome the difference (3 mm each).
