    Bodyshell trolley

    I want to make a trolley to transport and move around my mk1 shell any pictures or ideas will be appreciated thanks.

    my bmw shell sits on a pallet with 4 casters on it, great for moving it around

    I'll 2nd that, but mine is on 2 pallets stacked on top of each other, it's a bit higher that way.

    I quick timber frame would do it in a suitable size. You will find the most expensive bit will be the castors. I have thought about making one a few times bt never got around to it. Escort shells aren't that heavy.

    Pallets nice easy option though.

    I just bought a couple of lengths of 2” box section steel, welded in a rectangle, with four uprights, rear two bolted to the forward spring hangers and the front to the crossmember chassis holes.
    Castors can be bought cheap enough, I purchased the largest at a reasonable price with a brake so I could move it on rough ground.

    Waverunner thanks for the offer but I'm in South Wales I'll probably make do with a pallet on castor cheers.
