    Atlas Axle advice required

Hi Chaps been reading through loads of posts regarding the different widths and measurements of these axles and always knew the standard widths with the production models but need to know what widths you guys are using with your escorts. My car is a Mk1 with standard arches but running 7in wheels and the english axle what is on it at the moment is to wide as the tyres are rubbing on the rear. The advice ive been given is to perhaps try with an axle width of 47 1/2 in or 47 in but with a measure underneath the car and checking out the clearance on my arches i think its going have to be at least 46in.
Also perhaps in the future if i need to upgrade the brakes to bigger ones then fit 15in wheels it would be nice to know they would still fit under so just to refresh what custom made axle widths are you guys running the the car is cosworth turbo powered. Cheers.

anglia van axle for you my friend, but be gentle, only originally made to take 70ish hp. having said that there are plenty of turbonutters running around with similar set-ups.

if you need something a bit beefier you can go for a shortended capri axle, with some uprated shafts, will stand plenty of torques
