Lowering front strut lower spring platforms

Just got a set of roller top mounts as you all know they raise the suspension by a inch
i allready have a set of uprated -1 inch springs on my capri struts which are only two years old
am i right in thinking that if i want to return to my current ride height it should be possiable
to cut the lower spring mounts and weld them on 1 inch lower

Your find the wheel might hit the platform, certainly with bigger wheels its a struggle, coil-over conversions are the best way if you can afford it can be done for like £100 total.

Will check out how much clearance there is for the spring platform thanks otherwise could be -2 inch springs then.
