    VS5 or VS7 springs for 224/234

    Hi guys,
I know that Kent fellows supply their 2X4 cam kits with dual springs (VS7), but also i have stumbled upon many of you here stating that they are stupid stiff and way to vicious kn the rocker posts, shaft, cam lobes...
I'm most probably going to go for 224 with 1700cm³, (supposedly "stage 2") GT head with 3 angle seats, twin DHLA 40, 4-2-1 headers into 2" exhaust, megajolt electronic ignition... as it will be mostly used for touring, tourist rallies and occasional "full beans" sprints, so i guess i will need more bottom end rather than full rpm power...
Anyway back to the main question - would it be safe to use VS5 (single) springs and possibly reduce wear of the many components or VS7s are a must due to high lift of the cam, and then steel posts and hardened rocker shaft...

    Many thanks!
    Cheers
    Luka

I would use the Burton FP400 springs.
