What Gearbox should be in a mk1 escort

Not sure what gearbox I have in my mk1 escort, running gear has been changed to 1600 xflow and 4 speed box but the standard 4 speed gearstick won't fit the threads are slightly smaller, what options are there?

Could be a 1600 sport box as I believe the gearstick is slightly different to a normal 1100/1300 box

You mean a 2000e box?
Yes, the gearsticks on them are different again.

I think you can buy a quickshift lever for those, which would obviously come with a new threaded retaining collar.

Yes yodi but on the receipt you gave me it said it was for a rocket gearbox?

No Idea mate, but it went straight in no problems at all.. I'm not up to scratch on the gearbox names and which model they do/don't fit sorry
