Theres no anything, just a scrap of paper, should report.
He says he has a big pile of parts.
It's a funny one, there's a fine line between ringing and restoring but it looks like somebody is going to be passing this off as a restored car when it's not really.
He doesnt have anything, no chassis plate relating to the logbook, ive reported it on Ebay
I'm not defending him, he's definitely taking the piss!!
Somebody is going to buy that, put the pinto in a south african 1600 sport or one of those new rally shells and try to pass it off as a genuine ultra-low mileage one-owner rs2000.
Just read the whole spiel. Seems like Shelly's got her tits out over this...
He has an appropriate user name for the sale anyway...lol Apart from that a con man trying to make someone believe a ‘car’ with that log book and service book is going to worth a fortune
What a bellend.
'68 1100 Deluxe-bog stock soon to be a twincam rep.
It's a fine line between ringing and restoring a completely-ruined shed with all-new parts. I woudn't have too much of a problem if somebody built a new car and used this reg number on the condition that was how they advertised it. The fraud occurs when somebody says it's original or doesn't declare exactly what they've done.
It's not just fords though, somebody i know bought a pile of rust from a very early (1948) series 1 landy. looking at the photos you couldn't even tell it was a landy. But it had a vin plate and a log book. He rebuilt it from scratch with new parts and sold it and made a little bit of money - but he was honest with what he'd done. Lots of landy freaks lost their shit over it. But what's the difference between replacing a rotten chassis and shonky panels and that? Like i say, it's a fine line.
Just my $0.02
