very nice added to playlist
bloody hell.. u wouldnt think this was hiding a bloody v8!! looks lush!
smart mate
Fair play bud can't wait to see mine looking like a car again.
Escort mk1 + v8 = Looks and sounds great mate nice one
That looks and sounds amazing. Do my eyes deceive me or have you got that in without cutting the bulkhead? What gearbox are you running? Fantastic job
it has been cut, done very neat tho
you can see a bit here, about 2 1/2" back
very nice
i'm amazed the engine wasn't a tighter squeeze in the engine bay, you've got loads of clearance in there! it looks like a really tidy install and sounds the mutts nuts too! great car, sooo shinny aswell
its not dead till it's buried!

Sounds amazing... I was sat chuckling listening to it
looking good, sounds wicked
the engine needs lifting as it is very low at the mo,
i got about 1 1/4" clearance between the sump guard and floor.
i have got 4 drla carbs and an inlet manifold for it, but i got to rebuild them 1st.
will be heading down to the rolling road within next 2 months so should see what power its making.
should be over 200bhp, but could be as high as 240.
wonder what the torque is tho?
i pulled off from the mother in laws, a steep uphill road and didn't even realise i was in 3rd gear
Thats the dogs fairplay mate
might have been mentioned but cant see it in the comments, is it a 3.5L or a 3.9L? and what box are you using on it, sd1 gearbox?
its not dead till it's buried!
T.I.T engineering. "Feel the power!"
its a 3.9, overbored, 3988cc. its got high compression pistons, a piper 270 cam (fast road) edelbrock 500cfm carb, stage 3 heads with massive valves and ports. and top hat liners fitted (liners that don't slip easily)
gearbox is an sd1 but its not very good, could do with another 1 rly, will sort that out soon
still got to get an atlas axle sorted tho.
bloody hell, you running that torque threw an english
great spec, would kill for an engine like that for the capri.
its not dead till it's buried!
T.I.T engineering. "Feel the power!"
well i have an atlas, its 3" narrower than an english and i got 2 of them new 7.5" rs alloys that i was guna fit under the standard rear arches.
but now i realised i like the normal alloys so got to find a proper width atlas and sell the 1 i got.
engine still needs running in, i aint even done full throttle yet as it scares me
