    Specialised Engines

I know there has been some bad blood with SE in the past. Question: are the parts they sell, as opposed to the standard of their work, of good quality. In other words are there problems with the quality of the items they sell, are they as “iffy” as their workmanship? (I think I went around the houses quite a bit there.)

dont know, but it would be unlikely they would be selling top notch stuff, but given the rep they have why would you want to buy anything from them?

what are you after? with somethings pretty much any thing is ok, other items are more quality critical

I would not buy an "O" ring off them, they robbed me rotten, and their response was beyond printing.

If you need stuff, try Vulcan Engineering, good stuff and top notch customer service.

Point taken. I’m surprised they are still trading.

    (Poppet valves needed.)

    Re: Specialised Engines

Ive never personally bought anything from them & I havent heard any bad reports either but a pal of mine bought one of there pinto bottom ends a few months ago, SE said that it came with a warranty & if there were any problems let me know etc etc. My pal ordered the bottom end & it arrived ahead of the promise date & was fitted. Now there was a problem when it was fitted (although I cant remember what it was specifically) and SE was contacted to discuss the problem & they offered to take it back if that was what was required but my pal sorted it out (seem to remember it was just very very tight when turning over) and as far as Im aware hes had no issues since it was then run in & set up.
