    Type 9 issues when hot

    Hi all,

Recently fitted a Type 9 5 speed Capri box to my mk2 escort 1600 x/flow. Fitted a new Borg & Beck clutch and all went well. Fitted a retro Ford quickshift gearlever and it drives well enough. When it gets hot however, the gear change seems to stiffen up a bit, especially side to side in neutral. The box seems to change gear ok,but seems a bit stiffer too when hot. I used Comma 75-90 GL4 gear oil when I fitted it. Could the oil be the issue?

    Neil.
