Will a cossie turbo exhaust manifold fit onto an 8v head or are the ports different?

Different

nothings impossible as the hole distances are the same
Port shapes are totally different though, YB = wide and not very deep, pinto = tall and narrow

WAY different.
come on lads outside the box and all that bollox. either adaptors or cut and shut the cossy manifold further down with pinto flanges attached
There's thinking out the box gord, then there's just thinking out the planet.
so custom cut&shut then..
Cheers lads.

Ok
I have heard a nissan 200 sx (sr20det is that right) is pretty close and there are some nice manifolds for them but will still need a bit of work. The problem with modding the cossie one is that it is cast and I assume hard to weld. It is just easier to make a new one the most basic being made from an exhasut flange 2 90 degs and 2 t pieces of stainless piping in the right size and a turbo flange. from then on it is tubular.
Have a look down my long drawn out project for the basic manifold

Why not made a simple manifold yourself out of plumbing elbows, do a search and you will find loads of similar manifolds, would cost very little and would be better than a 4wd cossie manifold even if it would fit, which it won't and they always crack, look at any second hand one and you will see

Made out of 90* and T shape elbows, looks pretty easy to make and would flow quite well for a simple manifold

That's how mine is built. I would like to modify it tho given the chance with a thicker flange say 10mm if that helps and also i have heard of putting 10mm studs in the head to support the weight which i may do one day when i get on with it.
Where could I get those elbows from?

My mate got mine who is a stainless pipe fitter. I believe they were 2 inch stainless fittings. We had a company near by called ashworth fraser or oliver ashworth or similar but i think they are quite easy to come by from most pipe suppliers.
Have a look at this will give you an idea http://www.nero.co.uk/butt_weld_pipe_fittings

Probably best to use the 2" fittings, would be best to create a large step on the bottom of the port to cut down flow reversals
The exhaust port will reverse flow easiest on the bottom of the port so using the biggest mismatch there possible would be ideal and leave the top of the port about level with the pipe ID

i made a hybrid inlet half pinto efi half cossie
