is there a small hole in alloy body ? if so press spring clip in with a small pin and withdraw barrel, mk1's you need to drill hole 1st. not sure on mk2.
on later cars key must also be in and in accessory position normally - on mk 1 key not needed not sure on mk2. if you need to drill the hole then pm user bondy as he has just done one and knows where to drill.
