MY MK1 ESCORT (Now turbo'd)
all detachable panels are finished, now i can start on the shell in this lovely christmassy wheather
ive also been looking at getting new rubbers i know that i have to buy 100e glass rubbers, but i was wondering if anyone knows whether or not you can use mini rubbers for the boot and doors, as i know they are more common and should be able to get them cheaper than the 100e ones.
cheers for the comments

cheers guys, i think im gunna weld it up and use the roof one
bit of a backwards step today.
last week i prepped the front for some primer, but it started snowing so i used some hammerite gloss white to cover bare metal.
so when i primered the front end it reacted over the hammerite stuff. any recommendations?
cheers for the comments
all you can do is strip it off and start again, what happened was the solvent in the primer softened the hammerite
Yup,get all the hamerite off.

the damage caused by reacted paint
what a gutter sorry to see that bud. no way around it but to start again, unless you like a crinkle paint finish?
if it aint broke, break it!
got fed up with the front last weekend so primed the back to cheer me up
my mini blew its head gasket last weekend which i managed to fix today. it was kinda cold
but now i have two weeks off for easter so hopefully i will get some paint on my car
every wish the weather to get better
The pops coming on nicely now I bet you froze ya tits off doing that gasket BBBRRRR
well it didnt snow, so that was good enough for me
i painted the floor inside the car and then ran out of paint
and i painted my seat brackets which i made to fit mini seats so i have the chance to change in the future.

had to redo some panels
but got the bonnet and font panel done today.
tomorrow im gunna start on the shell.
bang on buddy
and made broom broom noises yes admit it? we all do it
Looking tidy mate wish I had your enthusiasm lol
been working slowly, which im not happy about as im suppose to be driving the pop round europe in mid august
but i have fitted bolts to fit seatbelts which im happy with.
and i have fitted the dash and put some balls on springs to keep the door shut
and put the doors back together which was a pain, and some bits need respraying
plans this week are to finish the doors and spray them. thurs and fri
and then my dad said he will help me saturday and sunday to spray the shell put the wings, doors, front panel boot and bonnet and spray it again and then put the laquer on.
wish me luck, as things never go to plan :P
Good stuff you wont be long now..
good weather so got car painted
my mum and dad checking out my handy work
tomorrow i am going to fit all the other panels which i will no doubt will scratch, so will put another coat of colour paint on, and then hopefully put some laquer on.
the plan for sunday would then be to fit the headlining and then put the glass in so it is finally water tight
