Hi Lads,
Like everyone else, Retro Drifting has really taken off over here in Ireland. Based on this, myself and a few lads have organised Retro Stock 2012.

Where did the idea of Retro-Stock come from?
Very simply, the idea initially began last year as a Retro & Classic track day that afforded a group of like-minded petrol heads the opportunity to drive our cars in a spirited fashion within the safe confines that only a dedicated motorsport circuit can offer…

What is ‘Retro-Stock 2012’ so?
Retro-Stock is the name given to 3 track days / static shows dedicated to either Retro or Classic (Stock) Cars which will take place in Mondello Park in April, June & September 2012.

What can people expect from ‘Retro-Stock 2012’?
Our April & June events will take place on Saturdays and will be dedicated Track Days, where-as the September event will be on a Sunday with the emphasis slightly more on the static display element compared to track action.

For all 3 track days, we will be using the full international circuit at Mondello (3.4 Kms) for the whole day and alternating between 30 minute sessions of 'Grip' & 'Drift' style driving, providing an edge over standard track days.

By alternating the driving sessions, it allows drivers the opportunity to either concentrate on setting some quick lap's times during the grip sessions or just enjoying their vehicles in the drift sessions without the confines of a normal track days.

In addition to this, there will be ample car parking for spectators in Mondello for anybody who would like to park up their Classic Car for the day and relax while enjoying the track action.

What are the dates for ‘Retro-Stock 2012’?
1). Sat 28th April 2012
2). Sat 2nd June 2012
3). Sun 23rd September 2012

How do I get to Mondello Park?
Mondello Park is situated 35 miles south of Dublin Port (Approx. 1hr of a drive)

Where would you recommend people stay for ‘Retro-Stock 2012’?
For those people who will require overnight accommodation, we have negotiated a rate with the Osprey Hotel in Naas (4 Star Hotel) of €95 PPS for one night B&B & 3 course evening meal for April & June’s track Days. The osprey hotel is situated 5mins from Mondello Park

How do I reserve my place for Retro-Stock?
To reserve your place on the track, contact Sharon or Jackie in Mondello Park on 00 353 45 860200. The entrance fee is €200 per car for the complete day & each vehicle may have a maximum of two drivers. We are limited to 50 track places. Book early as places will be given out on a first come basis....
What cars are eligible to participate on the Track?
As usual, ‘Retro-Stock’ will be open to all pre 1988 Retro & Classic Cars, irrespective of vehicle manufacturer. Roll Cages & Rally Suits are optional but advisable, Helmets are compulsory.

Will there be auto-jumbles there?
Yes, we are aiming to have some auto-jumblers there on the day. If people are interesting in having an auto-jumble, please contact Mondello Park directly.
