s2000 mk2 cortina

i've started fitting honda s2000 engine to my mk2 cortina, not sure what axle would be best to use, would the english axle be strong enough for fast road use? i have a tranx lsd and quaife 2-piece half shafts for an english axle. Also whats the best ratio diff to use?

It all depends on how much grip you're going to be having, if you'll be running 185 section tyres then the english will probably hold on for a bit.
Wide sticky tyres will probably see it crapping itself sooner rather than later.

What gearbox are you planning to use?

i am hoping to fit bbs lm style alloy wheels probably 7x16 or 9x16 with stretched tyres

i using the standard honda s2000 6 speed box,whats the best diff to use?

With 16 inch wheels and a 6 speed you will be needing a 4.1 or 3.89 CWP as your gearing will be really tall!!

Although i am running 15" wheels on my sunbeam and using a 4.4 CWP.

i'm on isle of lewis, to be honest i haven't been near cortina in a few months, been busy restoring my mk1 transit and organising car club events. i have engine fitted, wanting to keep the wet sump and i'm coverting to capri front suspension- its a tight fit but i think it will work.
