    Indicator/Hazard Light Circuit

I never know where to post generic electrical questions. Do we need an electrical section?

Can somebody eyeball the circuit below and tell me if it works? I am pretty sure it will. The flasher unit will be an electronic one with 3 pins, indicator switch is the normal steering column one and teh hazard switch is a dual pole single throw. Will run straight from FIA switch and not through ignition.

I will eventually use a relay in the circuit but did not include at this stage.

    Cheers

PS - thinking about it putting in a relay isn't that easy unless I want to be daft and have a left and right relay!!

    Yes that should work.
A relay is really overkill; the currents are low and in essence the flasher unit is already a relay.
I would add a fuse between killswitch and flasher unit.
Also, do you need a indicator light on the dash?
If yes do you have one for each side or just the one?

Cheers Miniliteman. I was going to use a left and a right indicator bulb on the dash. Not essential in any way but for the small amount of additional wiring and given all modern cars do it that way I thought I would go with it. Even with 3 21w bulbs per side it will only be a total of 10.5 amps (6x21/12) so I get your point re relay. Just need to ensure the 2 switches are rated accordingly.

I will def have a fuse. I simplified the diagram for speed.

Thanks savvi. Did the same search to come up with my diagram.
