    Re: Tawnys mk1 mexico

    Absolutely beautiful motor!!!

I'm not a fan of bubble arches, either on Escorts or Anglias. But that colour is excellent. In fact I've just bought a brand new car (taxi driver) and I wanted a metallic brown as first choice. But Seat only have a crappy metallic gold.... if they had anything remotely like this I'd have had it like a shot. I think dark bronze will make a comeback on modern cars. Or am I stuck in the 70s with chocolate brown Allegros?

I was kinda hoping to see more build pics... but I suppose it will keep me hankering for a good old chat if (when) we meet up sometime this year at a show. Have you had it rolling roaded since it's been run in?

I'm gonna be honest and say that the MK1 Escort is a car that's never really done it for me in the past. I was always more into the early/mid sixties stuff. But they have slowly grown on me over recent years as have MK2s. Too late to get one now ofc... far too expensive for my pocket. Saw a lovely bog standard 1100 two door at Leeming Bar a couple weeks back in Silver Fox.

Keep up the good work and good luck with the Anglia!

The couch had to go to make room for a new project but plans have been put in for a new extension at the rear for more toys & a couch.

made good use of the Christmas holidays today instead of watching the telly all day. I took the gearbox out for yet another rebuild & a slightly lower 5th than the one fitted on the last attempt as its too high for me.

    Hi, what a great car!

Are you by any chance the sort of person who enjoys building them more than they like driving them and are therefore ready for another project? I guess what I am trying to say is there any chance the car is for sale?

I didnt want to post on your thread, but I cant PM without 25 posts and I am not going to post cr@p just to get there. If there is any chance you would consider selling, please can I have an email address
