    Emerald ECU and innovate LM-1

    hi guys,

I've got my mk2 escort zetec turbo up and running on a base map.

I am very interested in getting it setup in closed loop.

A friend has provided me with an unused Innovate LM-1 kit include the sensor

Has anyone had any experience of this setup? I have looked at everything in the box and I think there is only 1 cable that can connect to my ECU. Its from the 'analog out' and I suspect simple connects into the ECU via its three wires (bronze, white and red) but I havent a clue what I am doing.

Do i have to wire in the little display? I was hoping to just connect a sensor to the ECU.

Does anyone know anyone in the midlands area that could wire/set this up for me?

Any help on this much appreciated.

It's pretty easy really. Wire from lambda controller data logger goes into ecu lambda input. You don't have to run the gauge as far as I'm aware.

One thing you have to do is configure both the ecu and lambda to read the correct voltage reference for the reading.

    thanks boxer.

Today we have welded in a boss for the sensor so I am keen to get things moving on this.

I'm still confused even after reading the manual. My main confusion is that the sensor plugs into a black box that I assume displays the ratios. I cant figure out how I connect that to the ECU.

there are some pictures of the kit that I have got.

My issue is I do not know where to connect those three wires?

The rest is pretty straight forward (even tho I am having to fit a ciggy lighter so I can power it....)

If this manual is the correct version for your Innovate, the three wires are analog output 1, analog output 2 and ground

Read page 21 A3. Analog Outputs (3.5mm Stereo connector)

thanks I had seen that before however I do not know which is which. I guess its safe to say that the 'copper' type wire is the ground so I can just try the other two and see if it works.

Will give it a shot when I get home from Singapore!

    Ohm meter ???

Used as a stereo plug 3 is ground (your copper screen I think) , 1 and 2 is signal.
