    Mk2 Mexico dash issue

    Hi
Tonight I noticed that i have random lights flashing when putting indicators on and when on full beam all the indicator lights flash.
Is this an earth issue on the clocks?

It's more than likely an earth issue but not necessarily at the clocks. Earth problems that come along after the car is in use, so not initial wiring issues, very often are caused by damaged or corroded earths. I would go and check the rear light clusters 1st, then front indicators and lamps 2nd, then the relays - indicators and high beam, Don't assume it's an indicator earth fault either although that's my initial thought, it could well be any of the other lights.
Also it may not be obvious if an earth is causing the problem, 12v DC systems suffer very badly with poor connections, so as you go round just give them all a little clean with a brass wire brush like you use on spark plugs, and a little smear of copper grease or vasoline. Hope that helps. Let us know
