More help required - in line fuse

I am just reinstating the loom and there is an in-line fuse holder this is located under the dash and close to the ignition barrel. It is a black wire but as the loom is taped can’t trace it without removing the tape but it looks like it’s going to the hella relay. Can’t seem to find it on a wiring diagram. Anyone know what size fuse - it’s one of the glass fuses that goes in the holder

Shouldn't be there in a std. Escort loom! If you are referring to the Hella Headlamp / Spotlight relay - that should have an integral fuse.

Should be integrated like the head / spot lights according to the manual! Maybe better to swap the glass fuse for a blade type - easier to get and more reliable?

Yes heated rear window and would use a 16amp ceramic fuse as standard (no glass fuses on a Mk2)
