Had a blown headlight bulb so went to change it and discovered that the headlights have had a terrible halogen conversion meaning I’ll need 2 new headlights. I presume you can’t easily get replacement headlights with the lugs/tabs things on that mimic the originals? If not, are the universal kits that are available any good/easy to fit?

The standard 7” head lamps are available both sealed beam and halogen type with the flat and convex lenses so you shouldn’t have any bother. Few of the motor sport shops have them, and there’s also specialist classic car lighting/electrical suppliers

Thanks Zakspak. I probably being stupid but mine seems different to ones I have found on the internet. I should say my car is a South African one.
