Rocker cover bolt size - steel cover

Hi, can someone tell me if all the rocker cover bolts are the same length for fitting steel cover. Garage guy says the ones on side are shorter as will press on bearing. Ordered kit (they look same length) but will have to cobble something up today to get bye. Is this correct? Gather bolt size is M12 x 1.75. Thanks Al

Blimey, sounds like something truck size if the rocker cover bolts are M12!!!

Pretty sure my Merc MP4 2548 tractor unit only has M8 rocker cover bolts.

guessing pinto. std ones at front cam are shorter i seem to recall . im not sure how vital this is i would need to check thread depth in tower. they are m6 and about 12 or 16mm long but wide lip covers may be a little longer than early cover as they use spreader plates as washers.
