Ford fiesta ST 150 Flywheel bolts, are they reusable

Ok so i am getting closer to taking the engine off the stand and bolting up the flywheel. I have a fiesta st 150 engine and an MX5 mk3 flywheel and the matching 5 speed box.

There seems a lack if information on mazda flwheel bolts. So can i reuse the st 150 bolts ? I have measured the depth throuhg the flywheel etc and they all seem to match etc (flywheels are the same thinkness at the bolt holes). Is there any reason not to use these i.e stretch type etc. Before i lash out on some ARP duratec ones as i cannot find mazda ones ??

    Thanks

I know this doesnt really answer your question, but as a rule, I always replace. Value my legs too much to take the risk for the sake of (usually) £40-£60

I wouldnt reuse them mate, plus your proberly want to rev the engine harder then 7000 at some point. If you fit ARP bolts now it saves taking the engine out later on

Thanks Guys, I am of the same opinion really. I know i will probably buy ARP flywheel bolts at some point in the quest for power so now is as good a time as any i suppose.
A lot of googling shows that ARP part 251-2802 seems to be the ones. Interestingly they are 25mm long and the thread depth on the crank is 21mm with 8mm flywheel depth. Seems to work out about right the original, st150 ones are only 19mm which seems weird possibly shorter due to less mass of the flywheel ?? Using them may not have been that wise in rwd format

the torque setting should tell you if they are stretch bolts ? if not i would use again with locktite ..........
    its only an old escort

reading again your changing the flywheel ? in that case you do need to match the length / shank to the new requirement.

Ok my bolts turned up today and look to be right. Although they renumber the part number i checked with Burtons and they were indeed the right part the 251-2802 and for once they seemed the cheapest even with the delivery. hopefully fitted tomorrow with no disasters.
