Door lock sizes

Hi has anybody ever seen escort mk1 door skins with different sized holes for the door locks.
I have skinned both doors one skin I had for years and I've just noticed the hole for the lock is bigger than the skin I recently bought, witch is the same as the two original skins . Are their different sized locks available? .

Not aware there's any difference in lock sizes, the only difference is between the early door handles with the locks in the button on the driver's door, while the later models had the lock set a little lower than the handle itself.

I spoke to someone else on a different forum and they had the same thing and his was the drivers door as well . Strange

i read something recently that suggested the size changed on a certain year forwards.

try searching on here for mk1 early door differences, i may have found it that way
