Hi,
Just fitting a replacement scuttle and need to paint it before the new screen is fitted.
Will the bonded screen bond will to cellulose paint or should 2k paint be used.
PS . Not fitting the screen myself.
Cheers,
Poe.

What car is it? Don't think it'll make any difference tbh.
I only ask what car it is as a Mk1 or Mk2 doesn't have a bonded screen.
And Older cars were painted with cellulose anyway.

It's for me Tranny
The original paint is 2k but I've got some cellulose here and was thinking of using it around the window just so I can get the windscreen back in and seal the van up from the rain.
Cheers Poe.
If you're really only painting the screen aperture itself then celly should be ok, but as a general rule 2k doesn't go well over celly so it would probably be better to use 2k to reduce problems down the line.
Cheers Rallyrob, I'll get some 2k.

i think its other way around, 2k goes on anything ? gun cleaner is just cellulose thinner i think.

I’d paint it with 2k you know you won’t have any issue then
