Question Weber 48s DCO/SP Fuel Issue

    Hi all,

    Can anyone help here please?

Spec is a Ford Pinto on Weber DCO/SP 48s. The trumpet nearest the front of the engine is spraying fuel out at idle. None of the others are doing this. Weber 45s are absolutely fine, but when bolting the 48s on, the front trumpet seems to let fuel in when idling. Fuel pressure has been checked but I'll confirm what it is set to.

Any help or ideas as to the cause this would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Just to confirm, fuel pressure is set to just under 2psi.

Have you checked the floatlevel of both carbs?
With the engine running, switch off the fuel pump (assuming it is an electric item); the engine will keep running for a little while on the fuel inside the carbs. Check that the spitting of fuel of the first cylinder dies away.

Thanks, float level has been checked. Will test and update this thread.
