    Pinto Pistons

Hi another pinto query for you guys, I have a pinto here that’s a used competition engine although it hasn’t done too much work. The engine is assembled so I’ve taken some pictures down the plug holes of cylinder 1 & 3, believe the pistons are Accralites. Showing signs of poor running or fairly normal for a engine that’s done some hard miles?

    Hopefully the pictures show.

Looks difficult to tell to me really.

The top of the photos show what looks like cross-hatching marks from a cylinder honing tool, but then further down the bores to the top of the pistons there looks like what might or indeed might not be some scoring.

bore honing still visible so not massive miles since done but its always difficult to judge wear on pics as oil will drag lines or could be a scores ? need head off really and even then it needs "eyes on" unless obvious. just my 10p

Thanks both, I appreciate it is difficult to tell from those images.
