    Mk1 Escort Dynamo to Alternator

    Hi, I have done a search on this and the regulators seem to be different from the motor craft one I have in my 1970 car.
    I will put a pic up. Basically on the regulator box there is a single red wire I think is the feed in. The red and blue wire joined, blue goes into the loom to the dash, red to the dynamo.
    the brown wires joined together are earthed to the regulator body. The black wire from the regulator fines to the Dynamo, again it’s a earth I think.

    To covert then, do I connect the red wires together to the alternator. Blue wire also to the alternator.
    The brown wires do I just earth them to the body/inner wing?
    any help appreciated.

    take a picture of the regultor on your car and i tell what goes were

    D+ goes to B+
    W goes to F
    do not use E
    sideways is the best way to turn a corner

    That is a picture of my regulator. It doesn’t have d+ etc... on it

    whats the letters on it or take a picture of the terminals and i can tell you what wire goes were
    sideways is the best way to turn a corner

    iirc connect the two red wires together; connect the blue and black wires together and run the brown earths securely to the body.
    Are we there yet?
