hopefully you will get them.
thats the trouble with this sort of thing including group buys, it always seems everyone want one, but when it comes down to it few actually part with the cash. but i suspect if you can fund a batch then any left overs will easily sell via ebay/facebook
Just looking at the cover, It might work with LOTUS logos too, Hopefully I get my engine this weekend, then I can decide about cam covers,
I would be interested in VVT one please ...
If you want them machined from billet aluminium I'll work do a good price if there's enough interest
I'll machine them for you out of aerospace grade aluminium billet. I'll work out a good price if there's enough interest.
I can cnc machine these from aerospace billet aluminium. Save you time and money.
I'm very interested in a non vvt one
update...
With VVT: scortedvan, modifyitmike, notenoughtime, Mash, donnie, Antwon
VVT delete: motorpoint, BRGmotorsport, Zak88
Hi Philip! Can you pls. specify "good price"?
What CNC machine do you have? 5-axis?

Just joined up the forum after discovering this thread.
I'd be interested in a VVT one depending on final price, possibly without the Ford/Lotus logo if possible.
Hi! Good idea to do it without logo. Just it is next cca 350,-GBP to make another mold for casting :-(

I’d be interested in one of these for VVT

Did the plastic VVT cover ever get made? I was thinking about it today, and, the thought of hiding the VVT solenoid under a false filler cap popped up, how to fill the engine with oil would be need to be addressed.
I’m interested in a vvt delete one, could a coil on plug system be used with these?
Take it not enough interest and dead in the water or still on
Not enough, but still on. Will try other way - do it on milling machine. Will see the price...
Good man
I’ve been lurking on this site a few years, finally got my build to a good point. ST170 into MK1 Esc.
I’d be interested in a VVT cover for sure. I have a 3D printer too, so let me know if you’d like me to print one and check the fitment. I’m currently dressing my engine so its out the car.
See you around!
Hi,
thank you for your offer, but I´ll be clear. All that job till today to have it in CAD, ready for milling machine and with 3D printed model, was about 640,-€. Do you think I´ll share it?
In about 2 weeks will be finished first piece (without VVT), if it will be OK, I´ll order 10 VVT and 10 non VVT...
I don´t do it for profit, but I don´t do it as a charity either :-)
Quite right to! As said, there is a lot of work that goes into prototyping & developing a piece that ultimately may have a really niche market. Even now with a 3D printed piece its proof of concept, now the CAD/CAM G code has to be created and a billet machined which will inevitably find some bugs, so a bit more money to waste before saleable items are ready. I don't envy your commitment - bravo!
Of course, I totally understand. I was just trying to help! If they’re coming then please put me down for a VVT one please!
Did you get a VVT one made yet, put me down for one!
Wld be interested in vat one let me know wat kind of price
If these are still about I’d be interested in one with vvt
Hi, if this is still ongoing, I'd definitely have a non vvt one.
Cheers6
Motorpoint, we still on are have you given up
