BDA look cam cover for ST170

Hi guys. Some time ago i was looking for BDA look cam cover for ST170 engine (ALDA). Unsuccesfully... (http://www.turbosport.co.uk/showthre...436&highlight=).
So I started designing 2 variants myself. One with VVT delete and one with VVT. Now I have 3D models ready and model with VVT delete is printed on 3D printer (plastic). The next step is to pass the data to foundry to produce the castings. Because production of 1 - 2 pieces is nonsense, I would like to know, if there will be any interest in these covers so that I can agree on the number of pieces in the foundry and thus reduce production costs. I donīt want binding orders, I just want to know if there are enough people to make the production pay off. So if you are interested, please let me know and indicate if VVT or VVT delete variant.
(sorry for mistakes in my English)
    Thanks

I have a duratec engine now so not for me but good on you for pushing forwards with this . Can they not be printed in plastic like the standard duratec cover or is the end result not as nice as alloy etc.

I am just finding out the possibility of printing from plastic that can withstand temperatures etc...or printing metal on 3D...

Does it need the option of an oil breather take off? I'm sure I've seen some Blacktop BDA covers with an adaptor on them.

I like the idea of these and would be interested if the pricing is right.

Might be very tight on a MK1 or MK2 Escort conversion, assuming that is the bulkhead/heater bubble position.

Re: BDA look cam cover for ST170

Nice work, I have looked at doing something simpler for the Duratec but a cover that fits over the original. There are some really good vacuum-formed plastics now and it would keep the cost right down, I will revisit this at some point and make it more polished

Re: BDA look cam cover for ST170

With the number of production of 15 castings I would get the price around 280 - 300,- GBP (incl. machining) and it still seems to me too much...
So I make a list of candidates and when I get to some number around 30, I would order production.

Donīt you like such a beautiful eco-green color? But because, as I write above, itīs just a plastic model to test if the seal fits etc., so Iīm not dealing with color. I originally wanted pink, but Greta wrote me that green is better for ecological burden of nature... :-)

Well done for doing this. It is well needed. I would have had one if the opportunity came up a couple of years ago. I don't need one any more, but I am pleased to see that its being considered. Good luck.

Hi guys! Finally I got free capacity of the foundry for the first week of June, so wanna ask if you are still interested. Because I ordered 10 pcs only, still canīt push the price under 300,- plus cca 50,- for final machining. New orders welcomed to reduce price...now 7 only :-(
