Widest tyre under a bubble arched mk1 (front)

Hey, it looks like most people can fit a 225 wide tyre under the front of a bubble arched mk1 escort. Has anyone fitted a wider tyre? Would a 245/45 R15 tyre on a 10inch wide rim fit? This is for a track day car.

Once you get into the realm of 10" wheels then it all depends on the offset of the wheel, the axle width, and to what extent the arches have been tubbed.

With my 8" rims that have a -6 offset I could fit 245s on the back and go even wider on the front. This is with a standard width English Axle.
