    Rear shock

I am starting to rebuild my Escort MK 2 after full body restoration now Does anyone know if there should be some sort of grommets or rubber covers where the rear shocks go through the floor and mounted

    Re: Rear shock

There are 2 rubber bushes on the top of a standard shock that go either side of the boot floor.
When fitted, there is a bell shaped rubber boot that then sits over the top of them if going for an original look.
I've recently changed mine, so tried to upload the pic, but usual file drama of pixels being too big. As I'm on my phone, it's just a nightmare trying to re-size and image just comes out shite.

No grommet, the bushes above and below serve that function
