sort of, but when talking bhp you have to take rpm into account, an engine doesnt make bhp it makes torque. which is the whole point of the big arguement going on on piston heads.
i achieved 82lbft per litre from a cranky old bmw 2v engine, im sure someone who knew a few more tricks than me could of made more. did Anderson really make that much power from a 1700 x/flow? not sure myself, but you never know, partly because you never know the exact test conditions, on a pinto i recall seeing a 2bhp gain at around 2500rpm by raising oil temp 20 degrees, thats about 5lbft. so if we had got the oil hotter or maybe gone thinner with it when testing my old bmw would we of seen even more torque?? who knows we never even measured oil temp! eitherway its seems a shame to see two well known names slagging each other off
