45 Shore World Cup Crossmember Bushes

Not cheap but I'd say get in quick if softer mounts appeal to you as they look to be flying out (8 pairs left at time of this post):

You could always contact them and ask if they intend to get anymore in.

Re: 45 Shore World Cup Crossmember Bushes

They had all sold out within a couple of hours of my original post so they had another much larger production run done to meet demand, which also sold out within days. I would email them and register your interest because if enough people have shown interest it may warrant them having another batch done.

Alternatively you could potentially make your own. Here's how:

Did they say you have to pre-order and give a lead time, please?
    What was the damage?

Yeah you have to email them and put your name down. £60 but you don’t have to pay until they confirm the order.

They are definitely getting more made, sold well!

Good to know as they forgot to tell me when the 1st batch came in. I've mailed Cal & hope to get an idea of when the next lot will be ready

I spoke to them over the weekend, they're still a few months away (reason being they have to machine the sleeves which isn't a priority for them, perhaps understandably with their current workload and expanding their facilities) but when they are closer they will email everyone who has expressed an interest and take payment for a firm commitment.

Well the first lot sold out quickly and i get the impression they've had a lot of interest.

I would imagine it might be done by the end of the year.

There's someone on Facebook called P B mounts, who seems to be able to redo most std mounts with just about any strength you need.

Hi - Have you got more details for P B Mounts as a search on FB gives me lots of random PB stuff but nothing that looks even vaguely automotive. I have an old gearbox mount I would dearly love to get rebuilt.

These are now back in stock, my stock checker sent me an update & I just bought a pair. The last batch sold out quickly so I wouldn't hang about if you're in the market.

I've just tried the link. Looks like they've sold out again already, unless it's not been updated properly.

They sold out within hours of being back in stock, I got a stock change alert about 10-30am & the last ones had gone by 7pm

I'd agree, if these things really sell out that fast you'd think they (or someone else) would start bulk making them, from what RetroPower have said in the past, their part is the metal inner/outer tubes only & a 3rd party does the elastomer bit.

I guess their business is building cars so parts supply is probably not high on their list although its only a bit of parting off of tubes & could be subbed out. Maybe someone such as Motorsport Tools or Burtons should take on the product.

That's not a bad idea, though it would be treading on RetroPower toes a little bit. Not that that sort of thing hasn't been done in the past, anyone.

I distinctly remember one case to do with Exhaust manifolds and systems. I won't mention all the parties involved, at least partly due to the fact that offhand I can't remember all involved.

I guess its a tricky one to judge, the Retropower guys might just be filliing a small niche for a few of us using WCXM on the road where a softer bushe is better allround for cabin noise etc & once the niche is filled they have overstock on their hands.

I suppose anyone could make these if they can find the company to provide the elastomer piece but I suspect you need to be on the inside to get the right/good people.

Re: 45 Shore World Cup Crossmember Bushes

Can anyone report back about what these bushes are like once fitted? I only know the opinion of Cal and Gordon Murray (who's opinions I do respect), but do not know what anyone else thinks. I guess these are being used with Zetecs, Pintos and Duratecs, which all have different weights. So, is the 45 shore only suited to the Duratec?

I'm swapping to these this month & will let you know, i'm Zetec so thinking about the weight too

    Crossflow 110 kgs
    Pinto 135 kgs
    Zetec 115 kgs
    Duratec 97 kgs

    hey guys,

these have sold rather better than we expected to be honest, so we are now taking pre-orders so we can get an appropriate sized batch made. every time we restock they sell out over night haha!!

    Thanks
