    Keep 4age? or drop in a K24?

    Gents,

I'm looking for some advice or points of view regarding my car. For sometime now I've been running a 4age 16v in my old classic ford without issue, but recently I've been thinking is it time to swap, or rebuild.

The car will shortly be coming off the road to have some new bodywork and paint, so this seems to be the best time to ask 'do I spend a little tuning the engine up? or spend probably the same amount dropping in a Honda K24?'.

I've been arguing both sides, but wanted to open the question to the floor.

I’d say the cost of changing to Honda would surely have to cost more, but it no doubt would be more fun.

Also depends on what state of tune your 4age currently is, they are a great little engine but I think a stock 2.4 would have to be a nicer to drive road car engine that a little 1600 that’s screaming it’s head off

Yeah while the 4age is a sweet little engine at 1600cc its just too small, i think k24 would be my idea of better..
