    Flexible brake hose to caliper

Just wondering if anybody has plumbed their flexi/rubber pipes on an Escort, from the inner wing, direct to the caliper.
I have Goodridge hoses and the length is ok with lock to lock but I’m still unsure.

I wouldn't personally, they should have a bit of hard pipe on the strut then onto the flexi, to the inner wing.

You will require 90 degree fittings coming out of your caliper, then your pipe would need to be clipped to the bottom of your strut. You'll then need to see if your std flexi pipe still has enough length when on full lock and it doesn't foul on anything.

I see no good reason not to - its one less joint to potentially leak. Caliper end fittings could be straight or 90 fixed or swivel fittings or simple banjo - permutations are endless!

...and there are no problems with this from an MOT point of view

Mine are done like this and have been for many years
The flexi is held to the strut with 2 cable ties at the same height as the bracket for the hard pipe to flexi joint

Re: Flexible brake hose to caliper

I've added new solid copper pipes, my original idea was because I'm fitting AP callipers and the kit didn't come with anything into the calliper and the Flexi pipe was the same thread.
I checked how AP recommend and purchased the correct fittings then added the solid pipe. No real advantage or disadvantage, so all good.

Cheers again for everyones advice and help.
