OMP Steering Wheel Boss - Mk1 Escort

Hi All,

I hope you are all well! Just a quick one, I purchased an OMP Corsica steering wheel for the escort the other day to replace my Springalex one (its too deep for me really). I need to get a boss, but looking online, I cant see if they have the notch in back for the indicator self cancel bush to align in, most only show pictures from the front.

I really want to retain the self cancel as it the sort of thing that irritates me when it doesn't work, so does anyone have any advice for a boss that would suit?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions you have - also if anyone has one for sale let me know!

It might pay you to phone a supplier and talk to a person, they should be able to tell you if there's a notch in it or not. Try Motorsport Tools.

Yeah fair point @Forest_rallying , I have spoke to a couple of sellers on ebay and to be honest they didnt seem to have a clue. I’ll give MST a call on Monday.
@redhf - I have no immediate plans to sell it to be honest, mainly as Im not convinced its genuine...

Could you just drill a small hole in the back of the boss?

This is the boss I bought, only it was something like £35/£38 delivered when I got it in January, so obviously shop around for it if you want one as the price in this listing is ridiculous:

@RS2000 - brilliant! I had a quick search on ebay and found one for £35, and you can see it has the notch cut out in the back. That will do the job perfectly.
