As the title says. I am going to be fitting some GRP Mexico arches onto standard wings.

My simple question is...How...What is the process???

The edges of the arches is very roughly cut so i suspect the following...

1) Trim the outer edge of the arches to a smooth arc and trace this onto the wing.
2) cut the old steel wing 1" in of the drawn/traced arc.
3) With a joggler create a step in the steel.
4) either pop rivet or as i would prefer bond (using something like Tiger seal) the arch to the wing
5) Apply copious amounts of filler to smooth the join.

Is that right?

I like mechanical fastners but what do you do with the heads of the rivets? Thats why i was thinking tiger seal.

Have any of the magazines covered doing such a job? I jsu want some sort of guide as i have never done anything like this before.

Cheers chaps.
