Axle width

Hi All

I'm about to modify a 52" Atlas axle off a Capri, to fit to my Mk1 Escort.

I would like to
-run 15" wheels (to fit big brakes);
-have Disc brakes
-bubble arches
-up to 9" width wheels

Anyone know what length I need to shorten the axle to?

Unless you are gonna fit very wide 9 inch rims (ET- alot) then no need to shorten teh axle.
