Hi All.
i have a BRAND new power steering rack off a ford sierra xr4i 1982 to 84.
i am trying to get a coupling to connect to the splined end coming out of rack , 14mm x 36 is too small . ive measured it as best i can and its something like 17mm, but cannot find a coupling of that size,
please can anybody help ,

Have you tried "car builder solutions" I'm sure they helped me with a similar issue.
This one is listed at 3/4 x 3/4" with 48 splines - https://www.carbuilder.com/uk/large-...l-joint-forged They do others with a smaller end but not sure if the 3/4" will be too big? They also list a 'Sierra' specific one that has a trianguluar steering shaft end!
A Discovery 2 has a lower coupling of similar size, I have a vehicle that I could possibly try and measure sometime tomorrow evening.Originally Posted by modifyitmike

Thanks for this advise. i would be very greatful if you could measure it when you have some time. im trying to buy the correct joint to fit, but am struggling on size to suit, dont want to buy wrong one , if you get my drift,

The nearest I can measure it to is 16 mm approx. Sorry I can't be of anymore help, I suggest you take the Rack to an independent LandRover spares place to see if one will fit.

Big thanks for this help. after many phone calls to various company's ,
i have finally found the correct coupling that i require. to fit my steering rack from, Bars prop shafts in neath, south wales.
